Kara + Chris got married on a chilly Annapolis afternoon in January at the amazing Governor Calvert House. It couldn't have been more perfect. A few flurries and a ton of friends and family were there to celebrate their big day becoming husband and wife.
Little did they know married life would start out with an adventure of being stuck after the return from their honeymoon with a drive up the coast. Quality time...what amazing marriage is made of :)
Chris & Kara - thanks so much for allowing me to be a part of your special day it was truly amazing. Here is to a long life of love, laughter and smiles. Enjoy your sneak peek!!
xoxo - Carrie D
::Chris' most memorable moment of the day::
The most memorable moment of the day was when I woke up the morning of the wedding knowing that In a few hours I would be marrying my best friend.
::What Kara thought when she saw Chris at the alter::
I saw him prior to the ceremony and I cried. I couldn't believe the day had finally come! I still don't know how I got so lucky to find the perfect match for me. He held his emotions together better than me!
::What Chris loves about Kara::
I love so many things about Kara. She is honest, caring, funny, thoughtful, intelligent and so much more. I could go on and on.
::Kara's most memorable moment of the day::
There are too many to choose! Being introduced as Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Casale for the first time is what I was waiting for so I'd say that moment. When Chris and I realized it was snowing before the wedding! We were hoping for that and it reassured us that some of our most loved people in heaven were with us on our special day.
Another would be having the moment of walking down the aisle with my dad. I am truly grateful and will never forget sharing that with him.
::What Chris' thought when he saw Kara walking down the aisle::
The first thing I thought was that she was so beautiful which quickly followed with "ok Chris. Keep it together"
::Kara's favorite things about their wedding::
The girls! Having all of our nieces along with Klaire was really special for me and I hope something they will never forget as they get older. I am so proud of all of them. Also, celebrating with all the people that are important to us. It really meant a lot that so many people wanted to celebrate the day with us.
::Chris' favorite things about their wedding::
What I liked most about the wedding was how well organized it was. How well the venue staff worked together and how mine and Kara's family worked so hard to make it the greatest wedding it could possibly be. The plate of risotto sent up to our room after the wedding was an extra added bonus!!
::Chris' favorite reception moment::
My favorite moment of the reception was during dinner when our guests made their speeches. Although they were all very heart felt they were extremely funny and entertaining.
::Kara's favorite reception moment::
I remember looking around the room and just trying to take it all in. It was really cool to see everything come together with the centerpieces and decor. I looked at my mom to make sure she was finally able to relax! It was gratifying to see all the people we care about in one room celebrating us. Everything was exactly how I hoped it would be. I still feel lucky beyond words about it all. It was extremely special to watch Klaire sing to Chris! I hear them sing that song before bed. The love and pride they have for each other is really strong.
::What Kara loves about Chris::
I love that he makes me laugh but also makes me feel safe. His sense of humor can completely turn my day around. I love that he values family as much as I do and would anything for the people he loves. I love the father he is to Klaire and the way he cherishes every second he has with her. I love how we balance each other out. Where I am weak, he is strong.
