I am finding a new love of photographing seniors. It makes me think back when I was graduating high school and had the world in front of me. Oh the things I wish I knew then that I know now.
It is such an exciting time. A scary time, but super exciting too.
This is Zack - funny thing, I ask him where he wants to go to college and he says George Mason - where my husband graduated from. Small world. He is going to head off and do great things. He wants to get into law enforcement just like his Grandfather.
Zack (& Diana!) it was great to meet you both! Best of luck with the rest of your senior year and enjoy your sneak peek!!
Meet Claire & Haley - two beautiful sisters. They were so much fun to photograph. It isn't often that I only photograph older siblings, but I really enjoy it when I do. There is a whole new dynamic when photographing seniors and older children. Its a change of pace from making animal and airplane noises to just asking someone to smile or laugh or look off into the sunset.
I enjoy every aspect of my job, be it chasing around a 2 year old who doesn't like to sit still, capturing the look on a Bride's face when she is dancing with her husband for the first time, seeing the love a new Mother has for her newborn, to making an entire family laugh and hug each other in a photo that they will cherish forever.
Capturing memories, memories of how a person is at a certain moment in time, a time you never want to forget, and now you will never have to as it has been captured forever. Things change so fast, in the blink of an eye, kids grow, people move away, life happens. Get out there and take some photos and remember things how they are now, so you won't have to look back and say I wish I had a photo when...
Claire and Haley - thanks for being such beautiful and amazing subjects. I am so lucky I could capture this moment in your lives forever - sister love is the best. Enjoy your sneak peek!
I had such a blast and learned so much during Rebecca's photo session. Rebecca has been dancing since she was 3 years old and you can tell...she had to hold poses a long time for me and she did awesome!
It was great doing her session at two different locations and capturing two different parts of her personality and life - first we visited her family's farm and then the place where she spends most of her days and nights - the dance studio.
Rebecca - thanks for answering all of my silly questions about dance :) It was great to finally meet you! Best of luck with the rest of your senior year - I know you are on to great things!! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!
